Biggest accomplishments: We were able to secure a 4 million dollar bond issue for infrastructure and to help bring business to two corridors in the City. Since the investment in our infrastructure, we have drawn several businesses including a Walgreen, a Valero convenient store and restaurant, and a three-story apartment complex with plans for a business park, dental clinic and dental school, a bait manufacturing facility. What’s next? Hopefully more business and investment in our youth. We are planning to renovate one of our parks which include our rodeo arena and we are in the planning stages for a possible community center/ library.
